This is an example of some curation and some creation where survival is itself a creative process. Archaeology and it's very material expression must yield a bit through interpretation of stels in a cultural sense to anthropology to allow the intellectual expression of cultural bridges to exist in time. For instance let me just publish a year to set this in context. "1620" Notice how the mind must hurriedly search frantically for a coupling or dismiss the publication as crank. Now suppose I had published as my comment a photo of Plymouth rock. The mind would at first be blocked by the fact that Plymouth Rock is not a stel and the graffiti on it is entirely unrelated to the arrival of pilgrims or even to culture in New England at any historic date. Without the Mayflower stylized sculpture on the hood we are rudderless even when we arrive in Mexico on Cinco de Mayo.
