It's Emeli's first ball, and she would rather stay home and play with her dog instead of being stuck in a stuffy room with grownups in her itchy ball gown. Thank you so much for your comments! Very touching scene, I'm sorry I did not see this one earlier. Obviously Emeli is more of a tom boy than a lady. I like the point source lighting, very typical of the gas or even candle light used in those days. The dresses are really amazing to behold. Excellently rendered.
