Description

They cry in the dark, so you cant see their tears They hide in the light, so you cant see their fears Forgive and forget, all the while Love and pain become one and the same In the eyes of a wounded child Because hell Hell is for children And you know that their little lives can become such a mess Hell Hell is for children And you shouldnt have to pay for your love with your bones and your flesh Its all so confusing, this brutal abusing They blacken your eyes, and then apologize Youre daddys good girl, and dont tell mommy a thing Be a good little boy, and youll get a new toy Tell grandma you fell off the swing hell is for children Pat Benatar Listening to some old tapes today and this song demanded an image cast was made for M3 but think I got it to fit thank you for viewing Chris

Excellent interprettion. The expression is perfect and the background fits brilliantly. Maybe a little more flame reflected in the eyes? Love it.

Chris: I wish this wasn't a subject we hear of every day, however, we do. If more could see this, maybe one less child would be hurt. There is, also, the emotional abuse some children face which needs to be mended as well. This is an important piece. Please get this out, even if you can only give an abuse support website permission...that in itself is a big deal. Now, you want to know what I think of this piece as a work of art...I think I just told you....Thank you for sharing. Hugs, Jan

Not sure I'd have thought of the song from just the image, but knowing the lyrics it fits well...unfortunately. :( Very well done though. :)

Just a superb topic and corresponding magnificent artwork, Miss Chris!! I so enjoy it when artists make statements with their works, be they artistic or written (ALL: see Eternalwytch1 last written upload: My Father's Voice - writers gallery!). Now, Miss Chris, how do WE, the collective people, handle this mess we all know exists? We cannot claim 'ignorance' as our excuse. Thanks again, for doing such a work/piece!! Excellent!! My best, TallPockets/brian.

A wonderfully powerful and emotional image! She seems to show both vulnerability and strength in her pose and expression - perhaps as we all do! Well done - and the perfect pic for the lyrics too :)
