My real name is Thomas McCann, I was born in Buffalo N.Y. in October 1952. I currently reside in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia U.S.A.,........I attended the Maryland School of Art and Design and studied Fine and Commercial art. I began working in traditional media at age 7 (mainly pencil sketches), then worked with watercolors and arcylics in high school. I started working with digital media about 11 years ago (1996), using Metacrations "Detailer", a 3D paint application. I currently use mainly Bryce 6.1 and Cinema 4D 8.1 and 3D Studio Max 4.2 for modeling and tweaks. I am currently learning Rhino and Zbrush. Thanks for your attention.

It looks great, especially the mat the cat is sitting on. Nice variation of light through the folds of the curtains, and I like how you can just barely, barely see a portion of the fence through the last fold. Integral radiosity isn't always a necessary solution; here you've got a good light spread and believable shadow ambience.

Great work, I especially like the light and the rug :)

Fantastic! Nearly picture purrrfect!!! The composition and lighting is incredible!! The pose of the cat is so realistic, I had to do a double take! Where did you get the cat? Is that a Millenium DAZ cat? One thing, not a crit, more of a ??? I notice that some 3D images (Some of mine as well) get this effect where the ambient light washes out the shadows. like where the piano leg meets the bottom, causing everything to go flat. Does C4D automatically set ambience? I know Bryce does, with certain textures and refraction is always high, annoying. Anyway, this is a fantastic image and I can't wait to see you explore the possibilities. I hear C4D has a blazingly fast renderer!!!

ditto on the rug, looks fluffy. and the rest is super sweet ^_^

Really nice work for your first attempt in c4d. I would probably give the curtains a bit more transparency. Maybe you could play around with some alphas. It would help disperse the lighting a little more. But that aside, I really like it!!

this is a beautiful work of amazing realism. (Now....come on....Kitty is a photo, he, he.) 'Would compliment you in Shingalese, as others have done, but don't speak the language-------'am just a humble painter (you know, old fashioned canvas & brushes). LOVE THIS CREATION.

This is WONDERFUL! My cat used to sit and watch the birds like that and then she would start making this very weird noise.... Thanks for sharing this image and have a beatufiul day!
