I have just recently discovered my love of photography. I've been taking pictures for years, but it wasn't until the last year or so that I truly began to understand how much I love doing this. I have been so inspired by friends who are photographers, my husband among them. I've always had a strong creative urge, but I've never really found the right vehicle for that urge. The thing that I realized is that I have finally found a way to show the world how I see it.BIOI am a graduate student at the Institute for Transpersonal Psychology. I will complete my master's degree in 2007 and my PhD in 2010. My focus is on spirituality in creative expression, the psychology of death and grieving and the ways in which a sprititual path can lead to integrative wholeness.

I wish someone had been able to identify this for you so that I would know the name too. This is a beautiful flower and a fantastic picture of it. I have never seen anything like it before.

First of all it is a great photo of a very unusual plant. I racked my brain until it hurt but finally ended up asking a coworker if they remembered the name I couldn't. It is "Aristolochia elegans" or commonly called Dutchman's Pipe. Thank you for posting such a lovely picture and thank you for the brain teaser that's been keeping me occupied ever since you posted it.

Oh wow, thank you so much. I think I like the latin name better than the common name!
