Description
The forbidden city has so many amazing things to catch one's eye. A symbol of longevity and wisdom the tortoise has many plots reserved on the property.

Interestingly enough, Bei (North) Jing (Capital) and even this little knick-knack is comparatively young as such things go. The northerners have simplified themselves to four tones, for another example, and they sound, so I am told, like uncultured peasant soldiers in simple-minded marching bands. "Peking Food" is another myth--it is comprised of dishes made by cooks from all over China.

I have a turtle in my garden that resembles this one, it was made by parsa an artisit friend!
