Description


The 17th Century was a very important one for the Holland. It was then that many people got very rich for the first time as a result of trade. The V.O.C. (translation something like United Eastindian Company) had a leading part in trade in Eastern Asia, Africa. The building you see here- a miniature of course that can be found in Madurodam- was the headquarters of the V.O.C. in Amsterdam. In reality the building still exists..but it's a museum now.
