Description

Clever Image Title 'eh? ;) I shot this one day at work, over my lunch hour. He wasn't very happy, as we got too close for comfort to their nest box. This guy was swooping down at us, not too thrilled about getting his picture taken. Well, finally he chilled out and rested here on this fence. I managed to get a few shots. This was a challenge for me though. There was a lot of sun, yet the eyes were very hard to 'bring out' in that dark face. Any suggestions on how I could remedy that? Because of this, I'm really not too crazy about this picture .. I wish I could have brought his eyes out more. Anyway .. like they say, we are our own worst critics! Thanks so much for stopping by .. I hope you all are happy and doing good. Take Care, Shari

Awe what a beautiful little bird, love the lighting and composition of the shot! I have a mockingbird shot I would like to send to you to see if you can do some postwork miracle on it for me. :-)

Well I think you did a fantastic job on it! Sometimes the elements conspire against us and there is nothing we can do to make an imperfect situation perfect. But I think great pride can be taken in making an imperfect situation as good as it can be made, so don't be too disappointed! :)

LMAO! Yeah...mighty clever title indeed. I simply can not grasp where you get it from. Such an innovator you are. Beautiful photo Shari, i like how hes looking at you. You have PS right? Then i suggest you duplicate your layer, play around with your levels some....and shadow/highlights till you think the eyes look good. Dont mind the rest of the compo that will look awful, lol. Just the eyes. Then you keep only them from that layer, by either deleting everything else using the eraser or using a layermask. Hope that helps a little. Have a wonderful day. #:O)

So, you aso have a camera with you..can't stop taking pics.. The bird is closely related to the swallows I think... though there is a slight difference with our European ones........ The problem you've mentioned is indeed a huge problem.. As far as I know , no real solution is available..
