Description

Yep, Redrope was there. It held everything together until it was time. Well... actually, time hadn't been invented at that time, uh, I mean, at the point of.... back then. *** Don't know if this structure has a name. I've seen puzzles and sculpture with the sticks and string. I'm neither mathematical, nor an engineer, but it was hard to make, yet fun to look at by rotating. Half the stars are from 270 parallel lights behind the sphere. The rest were painted in post. What is Redrope? The Redrope Project

270 lights? My PC would fall over clawing at its throat, "Memory! I need memory!" Great image here!

I had a set of knockers as a kid, looked just like that sphere. Had I had a clever box for them, I may still have them today. Love it! (=

I've got two questions and a comment. All those lights, but more how did you have patience to count them? Who pulls the string? Your interpretation is as good as I have seen, you rock.

Ok, 2 sets of triangles are easy, the ball is easy, the lights are easy, but that string thing blows my mind. Wish I knew how to do string that well. The total effect, however, is really outstanding. Bravo Dave, on a most cool image. You and I and everyone else reading this was here at the Big Bang over 30 Billion years ago. Of course, I'm talking about the atoms that make up your body mass. Even more amazing than our age is the simple fact that your atoms were once inside a burning star that went nova long ago, many light years from here. Another 5 billion years from now, your atoms will be space dust, when our own sun goes nova. And we move on, forever changing, for all eternity. Best to ya Dave from another Dave :^) P.s. I visited your Redrope site. Awesome images and imagination my friend.

That's not Redrope, that's an appendage of the Flying Spaghetti Monster covered in the holy Marinara Sauce! Yet more evidence of His noodly existance! And, are those... yes, those are the holy Bread Sticks! (slightly overcooked as They may be) ;) Just kidding - excellent work, and excellent work on the Redrope site also!

Even Redrope can't hold in an expanding universe, I guess... :-) Nicely done!
