ok, i finaly tryed the rainbow effect which happens to be notoriously deceptive, we realy need a good tutorial on it.
i posted the model for the previous thing in my free stuff, although i dont think it worked, go look for it, there happens to be an incredible lack of blender work in the free stuff place.
i am starting to get bored with glass and caustics and cornell boxes, if anybody has a blender huminoid figure that they souldnt mind sending me, i would be thankfull. i just dont have the time to create my own.

The one of the finest Cornell boxes I've seen. :O) There's plenty of free human meshes floating round the net.
