Love the concept! One little critique though...concerning the scar and shadow side of the face...the scar seems a bit too pronounced and the shadow side of the face a bit too much highlight reflecting off the armor. I imagined if the gallant knight had his helmet on, how he would sustain such a scar, perhaps a bar brawl after hours. I feel if the scar was more at an angle with the eyebrow it might appear more natural...you know me, with my honest opinion []/;^)

Simply amazing. I see so many similarities to your original, and think both versions wonderful of sir knight. The addition of the greenery to the upper one gives justice to the lighting of the sun. The scar adds character to him. So realistic it's amazing. Beautifully done, and the armor is again superb in both, the detail in the lower one's armor is beautiful, but as you say and I agree a battle hardened knight would have armor a bit dented and definitely rusty in areas. Excellent work.

I prefer the old armor because of its beautiful ornaments even when they are not historically correct or so. :) But to add a scar is an interesting detail. All in all an excellent piece in wich I love the likeness of the character and the very realistic lighting. Bravo! *****

The armour in the older picture looks great and the overal picture captures the mood. Always in awe of anybody who can draw this well with an electronic brush.

Excellent paintwork, the expression gives quite a look into the knight's soul. Well done...

I bet this was a tricky one to draw. The hair and lighting of the original version were better, more realistic; however the new armor -does- look more 3 dimensional than before. The placement of shadows on this version seems incorrect, somehow. Not bad, though!

Excellent feel to this, incredible painting, I think the head is more realistic than the armour, which is unusual, very nicely done.

Vastly prefer the original image. Even though historical accuracy may argue against the old armor, that was great armor and the lighting and composition was masterful. This feels rushed and doesn't have the same "life".
