Description

I was on this job and they pour concrete when I was on break so I took some shots. The man did not mind. He the job foreman and say it ok. That is a hard hat on his head. I was going to enter this in that photo contest of lique[like water] in movement but did not thinking the concrete looks like it was not moveing. I do like the compote[lol misspelled here] of this image and the lighting too. I had some washed out photos guess it was on the white too much but this one came out the best and I like his look on his face too.

The ready mix truck is one of the modern abstractions. No longer must one mine and cut and set stone. One merely pours it into a form. On the way it has that random look of the aggregate that we associate with abstraction. One smoothed it returns to realism.

The usual ignorance and disinformation: concrete was invented by the ancient Romans. They also knew how to pour and have it set underwater. "Modern" abstraction, hoho.
