Description


Turning around from viewing the railroad buildings, we start to see the town proper... and one of its most notable features: the granite terraces. The white building is a B&B called 'Granite and Lace'. It's across the street from the old town hall which we will see shortly. While photographing near the B&B, I asked if the pile of rubble was a building that had been torn down. It's destruction was approved before the town became listed on the historic register. It's a shame that so much of our history is destroyed before humans realize the true value of what they have.... Wonderful photo. HUGS!!
