Description

Datura wrightii is commonly known as "Jimpson Weed" or "Sacred Datura". In the morning and evenings, the trumpet-like flowers close-up forming the pinwheel. This is as good a time as any to announce my California Native Plant photography will be on display at the Theodore Payne Foundation's Art Gallery through the summer. For those in the Southern California here's the details: http://theodorepayne.org/ArtGallery/summer2006.htm Shot with a Nikon CP8700
