Description

This is pretty much all Apophysis flames that were assembled in Ultrafractal Not all of the flames are recycled from previous images but most are. I hope that you mind that too much. The bird has been given a new set of wings that I think are more realistic. I haven't been doing a lot of fractalling lately. Believe it or not, I have been more interested in doing other things. Weird, huh? It's just a phase, I'll get over it. Some of those things are a couple of new hummingbird feeders in my yard. I have never had feeders before and I'll be darned if birds didn't start showing up after I set them up. Seeing them motivated my to place my hummer in a new setting of old flames. As far as I know hummingbirds don't suck nectar from roses, but they do eat a lot of bugs for protein. Maybe this one is looking for a bug. Thanks for looking and commenting if you would like to.

A superb composition, Keith, and very beautiful artwork. Knowing that several of your old flames were used to compose this image, doesn't take anything away from it. I like the wings, and the lighting is perfect. Outstanding.

a show stopper... wings are indeed more realistic if we talk about wings but do we ever see wings on hummingbirds, they move too fast for a human eye to see.

Lovely work, Keith; Besides the obviously HUGE amount of patience you have, I especially admire the variety of plant forms you've created, the very naturalistic palette you've used, and of course the lovely little hummer. Here's hoping you continue to be visited by lots of the little living jewels!
