A very lovely image! :) On my last visit to the Smokey Mountains, over 30 years ago, I was treated to being chased by a bear. LOL

I can sure think of worse ways to be treated in. Such a surreal feeling to this. Its so beautiful to look at...especially for someone that loves mist as much as i do. Speaking of mist...we have some right now...better grab my cam and head on out. #:O)

I have to wonder where you were when you took this shot - on the side of a cliff? It sure is beautiful, and as others have said, aptly demonstates the origin of the name. I wonder how far the distant peaks are - perhaps 75 miles? What a view!
