Description

I think this will be my final attempt on the Hull. I placed some simple masts just to get an idea of how it will look. Th Hull Map is not the final as I still have a lot of adjusting to do and at least one more gunport to cut out. Now I can start working on the Gallery.

Lookin' pretty good there, mate. A lot further along than mine, still. Nice job on the coppering texture. If you need help on the hull, you might check out the free downloadable program, FREEship. It is a boat/ship hull program that real naval architects are using. I downloaded it a couple of weeks ago and have made a couple of test hulls toward my own USS Constitution. Looks like it is a winner. It is located at : www.freeship.org...it can reproduce any hull, from small rowboats to catamarans to tankers. Let me know if you find it, or need some help. The program will really help me create good 17th & 18th Century ship hulls, which has been a big hurdle in me finishing my Ol' Ironsides...
