Description

So this is the sunrise that I shot on Friday morning after the rain. Rain is so welcome here in winter. We can have such dry weather that lush, thick, green grass can just turn to dull, brown nothingness. And what perfect timing?! This plane was coming into land from JHB, a one hour flight from there to DBN. So this one is a dedication to the pilots who are up normally later and earlier than all of us. Tx so much for the man views and many many comments on my last image - all are appreciated!!! SO MUCH!!! Hope everyone has a fantastic week! BTW - I got a belly ring yesterday...

Pilots do have vistas to enjoy but also they have blinding sun to deal with also. incredible sunrise and tell me about brown grass. we have been in a drought for a long time

I'm always amazed when the sun rises just above the horizon how much it looks like a sunset. That if you weren't there you really couldn't tell the difference. I have to say my fav is the predawn, just before it comes above the horizon, the way it illuminates the sky. A wonderful capture and a beautiful dedication. This really is a perfect picture for a post card!! Oh and hey..I think its great on the belly ring. they are so incredibly sexy. Besides, more jewelery! LOL!
