I wasn't sure at all when I started this pic that what will be the result... I had only that free stuff building and sword and empty head:) At one point I even abandoned this image but now I'm pleased that I did found some strength and faith to carry on... do you agree with that? :)
Hope you like the red atmo... and thanks for looking!

Uncertainty about the end result when beginning is often how it goes for me, too...;^) I think of it as "following the Muse" - often, my head is nearly as empty as the Bryce window when I start a new work...8^D This particular image doesn't quite work for me. Interesting atmosphere to be sure, but I probably would have chosen a different approach to making red the dominant color and/or theme. Would you share the original file so I can play with it...? Continue to boldly go where you've never gone before, and live long and prosper...!

well done landscape....the red atmosphere does give it a foreboding look. A who knows what goes on in the dead of night feel.

Thanks for comments... red became dominant color when I had done everything else but the sky... then I was thinking the name of this image and one particular song came to my mind (Tristania- ...Of Ruins and Red Nightfall) and thats where the color and name are:) Also making a good detailed forest is quite difficult and time consuming, so I thought that not so clear lighting would be a good choise now. It's sad that there are limits that my laptop can handle smoothly:(

Almost passed this one bye, glad I didn't. Just a little darker than I would choose, but that's just a personal preferance. I still think it's a great picture, nice work!!!
