Description

"Soaring high above the breezes, Going always where she pleases. She will make it to the islands in the sun. I will follow in her shadow As I watch her from my window. One day I will catch her eye. " -select lyrics from The Nile Song by Pink Floyd (Waters)

More psychedelic lyrics to go along with these two brilliantly colored Chihuly orbs floating in a pond. The blown glass balls stood out pretty well without the selective coloring, but I thought I'd try a variation on the theme and make these little "islands in the sun" even more prominent. ----- Thanks for your vesicular comments on my last upload, Bubblegum Bauble.

In old Nassau Town at Dirty Dick's on a dance floor sticky with beer-- "Oh, Island in the sun...." for the 155th funky time.

Interesting. It reminds me of the " Ocean Buoy" when we are far out from shore fishing. Aloha

This must have been a beautiful place to visit. Your selective coloring really makes the orbs stand out.

I LOVE the fact that you made the baubles the only colored objects!! Very surreal, not that they weren't surreal to begin with, but you have certainly ehanced the effect!! p.s. the Nile song rocks, as do the others from "Relics".

Good idea the selective colors for the giant bubbles ! Maybe with more contrast it will be better ? It's a little bit too dark for the white and black part. But always funny and impressive. Have a nice evening.

Wow...they do look like living organisms.Kind of creepy when seen that way.I can almost imagine them 'breathing'...ew...LOL.The large caladium(sp?) leaves in the background look rather other-worldly,as well.Nice work,Kortalouche and I like the use of selective coloring.Have a great day.-M :^)

Nice! Like the way you knocked out the color in the background. This reminds me of a SciFi movie of the 50s or 60s.
