Description
Another capture between 12/8/05 and 12/19/05, when nature put on a wild and weird display of cloud formations rarely seen over Southern California. I'm not a meteorologist but my research indicates that the high level, thin wispy clouds are of the cirrus variety at 20,000 ft. The black, puffy lower level clouds could be nimbostratus at around 6500 ft. Surprisingly, no rain resulted from all this posturing.

That is certainly a hodgepodge, but a very scenic one at that!

Well, you've done it again with your eye-filling skies! Just gorgeous!! Love this line of yours, "Surprisingly, no rain resulted from all this posturing". LOL! I think the clouds were putting on a special dance, just for you. ;)

Beautiful sky! I saw a few of those rain less days when I was in Arizona. Thank you :)
