Welcome to my little corner of he web. I suppose that since this is a Bio page, I should tell you a bit about myself. I am a 43 year old former network administrator. I became disabled a few years ago, so I have a lot of time to improve my 3D skills.
I am married to a wonderful woman named Debbie who has been there for me even when things don't go so well. I have a beautiful daughter who is ten now and is definitely a daddy's girl. (The picture is a few years old,)
I usually use either Poser 7, Carrara Pro 6 or a combination of the two for my modeling work. I also use Photoshop X to make textures and for other postwork. I really need to upgrade my system soon, but with my wife working, going to school full time, and doing medical assistant externships, We really can't afford to do it for a few years.
If there is anything else you would like to know, feel free to email me. I love to meet new people and I appreciate any constructive criticism you may have about my work as well.
Thanks for dropping by

Nice image. I really like the backdrop and the red sun in morning effect. My biggest complaint of the characters is that the shadows are wrong for the lighting. The lighting suggests they are lit from above instead of the background.

Mars has two moons in a fairly tight orbit, I imaged those as the back light source. I needed some or the characters lost all detail to shadow from the angle because I really wanted the dawn look.

Really nice background and mixture of software .

Fascinating conceptual piece--reminds me of Peter Schilling's song "The Noah Plan"! I think the textures/materials involved make the lighting tricky (viz., the lighter reds on her outfit), yet if plastique, the lighting is ambiguous enough to excuse the distortions. The heavy shadow on his left cheek reinforces the illusion of background lighting from the sun, but if you put a few glints radiating from the sun's refraction on the upper edges of their outstretched arms, this illusion could be intensified. If, on the other hand, you wanted to emphasize Deimos or Phobos as auxiliary lighting, you might want to show a crescent of one of them in the sky near the upper border of the pic, and then show at least one corresponding glint on the people or the water to affirm multiple light sources. Great work--a little postwork, and you'll have another great pic!

Her outfit is made from a semi metallic cloth and is highly reflective. I know about the lighting problem. I will try and reduce the ambient light source when I redo it. Right now I am working on another poser/carrara piece which is going to take some time to render. I really need to find a good free lens flare plugin. I may rework it with the sun a bit higher in the sky.
