I am not 100% sure, but I believe it is called a "Columbine - Denver Gold" flower (Aquilegia chrysantha). The information came from www.naturehills.com. Take a look and see if that is correct. This is a stunning image! I love the background. It is such a beautiful blue. Well done and hope that helped.

It is indeed a golden columbine (Aquilegia chrysantha) but I do hope you won't change such a perfect redundantly abundant title :) Most beautiful contrast of colors.

You gotta love columbine. This one is a beauty. Colorado's state flower is the blue and white columbine. These are tasty, by the way. If you take the five pointed parts and bite off the little knobs at the end, there's nectar bees would fight you for. Awesome. Anyway, nice shot. Thanks for making a Colorado boy's day.
