Description
Someone told me the original was too clean & needed some mist, so I re-rendered it. Please take the time to look at both versions & tell me which version you prefer.

You should improve this scene by : 1) intensify the waves under the girl to simulate the wings movement 2) make some subtile ribbons of mist upon the water 3) improve the constrast with dramatic lights and a strong blue sky. Try to put your fighters into the light and let strong shadow among the plants (need to densify them a little bit I think...) In fact, keep the strong contrast of the first image, but you should put brighter colors, as you can see at summertime. I hope this was clear for you... Keep on the good work !

Like this one, great creative scene. 2nd Zazou remarks.

I don't know. I really like them both, each has their own merits and beauty. But I don't agree that the other was too clean. In this one, the clarity of the textures on the fairy is more muted, so those details cannot be seen as well. And I like the mood created by the darker, greyed sky. I agree with Zazou's 1st 2 points, and the lighting suggestion; but I don't think a 'strong blue sky' is necessary as well. Some fights do take place under a sombre sky. ;)

I like them both. This seems more like a photo though.

I think this image is better - more realistic and atmospheric, but agree with Zazou about increasing the contrast (not the blue sky though), as if you got busy with the dodge and burn tools you could deepen the shadows and also perhaps bring the front character out more - so that has clarity and the rest fades. Then the image would be perfect!

i liked them both. My preference is for the first but both are fabulous efforts!
