Description
I in no way consider myself much of a photographer, just got my first camera in 10 years, but I had to post this. I was at a bus stop that always has a lot of pigeons walking around. All the sudden it started pouring down rain and all the pigeons started doing something strange, they would lay on their sides and lift their wings.... it was a bit eerie.
Well, I hadn't seen it before so I grabbed a shot fo the nearest. ;)

It's probably not often that they get to take a shower.

lol, here in Portland it rains often, just not as hard as it did that day. Maybe that was it. Hmmm

Glad you had your camera with you. It is indeed an unusual capture. I love this type, unscripted. Aloha

Indeed an excellent capture. They are bathing. My friend sprays his macaw with a spray bottle and it does this. It'll raise it's wings one at a time and turn itself toward the water and even look like it's rubbing under it's one wing with the other. I told him I'm expecting it to put on Right Guard one day LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Very good capture.

Our budgies do the same as that macaw, lift the wings to be plume sprayed, they also do the same for the hair drier afterwards :)
