Description

I created this character for a short Star Wars fanfilm entitled 'Pitching Lucas'. The scout and bike were modeled from scratch in Cinema 4D, using photographic reference, as well as a plastic model kit! This was my first fully modeled and rigged character, and I used Cactus Dan's IK Tools suite for the IK, which made the job a whole lot easier than with MOCCA - much head scratching was done though! ;) This rigged character was then used within a minute long animated sequence I also created within 'Pitching Lucas' entitled DIPs, and is a parody of the classic 70's biker cop show 'CHiPs' C4D9/9.5XL - Bodypaint 3D - CDIK Check out the fully movie at: http://www.atomfilms.com/af/spotlight/collections/starwars/ Feel free to vote if you like the film! Cheers :)

Great work Adam! I saw the film and thought it was great. I remember this sequence and thought these were guys in costume against a green screen. Never thought they were CG characters done by our very own Kromekat!

Thanks Mike! :) - The shots with the wookie, and the ones where the scouts are having a break when the speeder goes past are greenscreen/live action ver CG backgrounds, the rest are pure CG :)

The model is absolutely stunning and to see them animated is amazing. Lots of hard work went into this and the story for 'Pitching Lucas' is a really cool idea well executed. Congrats mate!

A very good render!! Youve perfectly caught the soldiers personality with his pose. I just hear the whisper of these huge trees between which Luke was dogfighting with these scooter scouts:)
