Another example of how modern civil engineering anticipates the bold adventurer. Galvanized steel posts to prevent fourwheelers from overloading the wooden structure. In design what you see is not what you get. Volume, weight, wind loads all must be anticipated regardless of the view of stunt drivers. Of course there is still the sculptor who wishes to pose an Easter island stone head upon the arch to catch just that exact mix of primitve and modern.
