Description

Not sure if I'm quite finished with this one as I want to try to give it a 3D effect around the edge of the midget to look like paper being pulled back. As always thanks for taking a look and for viewing/commenting on 'Single Bloom'. Have a great weekend. Jackie

Any tips on how to achieve the desired look Rick? I confess to having less hair this morning than last night as result of frustration!!!! :-)

i see it as a seed pod -a fractal pod-if left in an ordinary fractalists hands could fract back an forth, causing untold distruction or AN ODD AND PERPLEXING STATE OF "PEACE". Peel your pod back carefully as it may be just napping. Looks so beautiful & alive with depth.

Wonderful midget, love the texture. The edges would look better if they had the effect you're after.

Coloring Mandies had always been a real challenge - and this is superb. I like the warm earthtones and creative masking! Are you talking about making the "outline" of the central mandy more like torn paper? Is there a way to add another layer/mask overlay using a sliding gradient from the pinkish color to grey or brown?
