Description

I'm in the process of a job search, so I have no rendering time right now, so I'm probably going to be hanging out in the photography section for a while if that's OK. :-) There is a delightful story behind this one. We don't actually have a ranch, we just have a one acre plot with a fenced back yard in a nice quiet residential neighborhood. So it was to our great amazement one Saturday that we saw these two horses just meandering down our street eating grass in the neighbors' yards. I opened our double gate on the far side of the house and then went door to door for a few houses to see if anyone knew about these horses. Nobody did. So I walked up toward them and gently herded them around our house and into the back yard. I closed the gate and we called the authorites. A very nice officer came and was as puzzled as we were about them so he set off to find us some help. In the meantime we gave the horses water and made friends with them. After a while, the officer found a local couple who gladly came to pick them up and take them to their ranch until the owners could be located. When they came, they said the horses looked like they had been in the wild for more than a month, but that they were in good shape overall. They loaded them up and Rose and I went behind them to see the ranch. Once they were unloaded, they both seemed to enjoy the new surroundings. It made for a wonderful event that we will never forget. The owners were never found, so the couple adopted them. So that's the story of the Gregory Ranch (for a day) LOL. Hope you enjoyed your stay. :-)
