Description
This majestic bird makes his home on my favourite fishing pond. One day last summer he stood on this stump as I gentley moved my canoe closer and closer. I took a series of pictures leading up to this where I was less than 30 feet away. As I got closer he eventually took flight. You'll have to wait till tomorrow to see that.

I have been close to one.. Sadly... I thought it was fake... and got so close and it took flight and it scared me out of my pants.. now I'm mad at myself at not taking pictures of a fake bird anyway!!! Great shot!
