My real name is Curt. I'm originally from Kentucky (USA), currently living in Wisconsin. I'm divorced with three kids, and love to take photos. Thank you to all who have kind words to say about my my photos, and thanks for the needed criticism as well. I really want to get better at this, and am working on getting better equipment as well. ;-)

Interesting consept...the natural against the man made. :) The light post bothers me since it is right in the very middle of the shot...but in order to get the timing right you probably couldn't avoid it. I might also darken up the sky in photo shop a bit to make the colors pop a bit more.

How cool is this??????? Exceptional and Fantastic. Great Job and ----how in the world did you do this??? We have daily thunder and lightning shows and I'll be darned if I can catch even a hint or flicker of lightning. Guess I need to stand in the yard with a tripod during the storm and see if it works then. LOLOLOL!!!!!!! HUGS!!!

What a perfect expression of synchronicity! Each to his own preference, but the light pole is an ESSENTIAL element of this expression. The combination of several, distinctly different sources of illumination draws the observer into the action. The timing trumps the composition and it's all a winner!

I'm impressed!!! I have been trying to take pictures of lightning, but the shots are nothing like this. :^( Perfect timing to have captured both the lightning and the fireworks! Wonderful shot! :^)
