Description

My ISP was down all day, so I decided to model something in Wings3d. I came across an old pocket watch my Dad gave me when I was six (it was new then). I'm almost 53 now, so it really has aged a bit, the silver plate has worn off pretty much the way you see it here. Model created in Wings3d, textured and rendered in Bryce5. All textures are my Bryce procedurals except for the watch face, which was scanned from the real watch. Thanks for looking, John

Fantastic job on the aged silver material. But shouldn't the hour hand be closer to the 3?

That metal texture is the most gorgeous texture in the world. Excellent model work and render. But that texture. I want it!

Look TJ, it's not really fair, you can either be a magnificent portrait artist, or the wizard of materials, but not both. It's just not fair.

I've got a 13 jewel Elgin that's similar, but I'd have to go crazy with the fine engraving work... Ack! I'm foiled from competing once again. Nice job.
