Description

First, let me thank each and everyone of you for viewing and commenting on all my previous images. I also like to thank all the talented photographers who are posting their hard earned images on this site. I am learning a lot from all of you and am trying to higher the expectations of my own work. About this image: I took this photo about a week ago. I should not probably be posting this image, since this is not a great image to post, BUT I worked very hard to get it. I walked two full hours in 6 feet of high grass and vegetation, about a foot deep of mud and swamps under my feet just to get to the nest of these herons. Ticks, flies and other wild little creatures every where eye can and can not see. It was rough. These birds are so skidish that with any slight movement, they fly away. I was happy that I was able to capture a few good shots.

Superb shot. I know exactly what you mean. I have photographed these Herons to and know how difficult they are. Great work to get this, and worth the effort. I would clone out the branches at the top left, as they are a bit distracting. IMO Congrats on this capture.
