Description

Reasons notwithstanding, the universe continues... unabated. And so, also, do these continuing attempts to produce something... interesting... using only Poser 4, trueSpace 6 ( can't afford "7" ) and a deep pile of freebies! Not at all satisfied with the electric effects... anyone know of any good "spark" tutorials? This time, it's back to the "Annwn" series of renders, through which I hope, eventually, to tell a story. The Lady Annwn, a prominent scientist of her world, has volunteered to carry an ancient and powerful artifact ( oh, hell... it's a weapon! ) known as the Stormsword to use against the nearly indestructable flagship of an invading alien race. Ordinarily, this would have been a rather futile exercise in suicide... not specifically from any dangers presented by the aliens, themselves, but from the very radiations of the Stormsword, itself! But Annwn had recently perfected a means of rapid regenerative healing which might stand a chance of sustaining a user against exposure to the Stormsword's activity. Known as the QLR, the prototype regeneration device had been, so far, tested only on Annwn herself. And so, because of this, and also because of the complexities of it's programming, it's use on anyone else could not yet be allowed. Time was running short, and there was only one thing to do... Annwn must face the alien intruders herself. With the dawning sun before her, and vast Othership looming in the sky above her, Annwn activates the relic in the hopes of using it's anti-matter beam to cut an opening into the thick Drakanium hull. But there is an unexpected interaction between the Sword and the QLR. The two devices resonate and build up a powerful surge of energy, with Annwn standing between as a human Jacob's Ladder. Struggling to maintain her consciousness, the hilt of the Sword, now unleashing an anti-particle beam of unbelievable power, slips within her hand... and cuts into the gigantic ship's equally gigantic engine section... Additional Product and Freebie Credits include: -Handy boulders with nice and bouldery textures courtesy of Blacksmith 3D! -Vehicle composited from a couple of landspeeder/hovercraft models which... I think... I got from Nerd3D awhile back. -...aannd... avatar from a character by Roger Langridge ( http://homepage.mac.com/hotelfred/index.html ).
