Description

I really admire some of the indoor room scenes done with Cinema 4d and 3d Studio Max on this site. I'm always amazed at the realism of the lighting. Unfortunately these programs are a little out of my price range at the moment ( and I don't think I'd enjoy the very steep learning curve - lol).So I've tried (maniacal laugh here) to create something similar. Everything except the sofa and book are created in Bryce (the painting is one of my previous Bryce works). 4 radial lights were used and normal sunlight: One above and slightly to the left of the camera, one to the right and behind the camera, and two outside the window as the normal sunlight wasn't strong enough, and to get the shadowing on the wall. No postwork on this one at all. Comments/tips/advice would really be appreciated on how to get it any better. Sofa from creative 3d.net

Yes some of the images I've seen using "Cinema 4d" look really nice' the kind of thing I would like to play with..I like this rendition' no (maniacal laugh). as a tip i would turn the Diffusion down on the materials' especially the wall texture...might not work but give it a try..then play with the lighting. Nice composition..!!

Great effort!!! I know what you mean with the C4D stuff. I think with Bryce it would be down to the set up of lights etc as you have done but also the rendering options, soft shadows etc. Never tried myself but you have achieved a great pic.

I usually turn my atmo off and to black, rely on lights, sometimes volumetric, good to see you enhance the sun's light, that's almost always a good idea...good one!
