That is something foreign to me among the Dutch of New York. I have seen pictures of it this in Holland, Michigan at the tulip festival. They would think too royal and too Catholic. I am pleased for your friend this is real and she can share it with you.

Thanks for adding my dolls! This costume is from the town of Marken. The dolls now have hair and a bonnet.
