Just a little try, on rendering a landscape the more realistic I could with little means, I simply wanted to reach the peacefulness of a rock standing alone in a green meadow...

There is remarkable-ness about this. The shadow almost seems too dense but in fact this is what helps set the elements that you are seeking. Very cool.
