Description

Another portrait. This was one of those times that I decided to stress the CPU with a special effect. The depth of field here is not postwork but actual render. It required a pixel sampling of 16, and even then it's a little spotty in places. I'd have preferred to use an even higher setting, but I also wanted to work on other projects. Total rendering time was on the order of 36 hours. BTW, the grass is mostly just hair on a cloth plane. (I've lost track of where I got the cloth print and the flowers.)

That depth of field is tricky. You need to start it an go on vacation. The more out of focus you want things the longer it takes. Seems like if things are just going to be blurry it should not take longer to render. Great job here.

Looks good! I've never had the patience to render something like this.
