This is an on going project I've been working on in my spare time for a couple of months.....but I'm glad to say that it's close to completion...I've learned a great deal from this challenge....making me a better modeler....and I'm happy w/ the results........here's a link to a 360 turnAround of the head below....And for anyone wondering, it's done completely in Maya, no Zbrush at all....( I don't even know how to use Zbrush, lol ) thx for viewing!-->

Good job, so far, Congrats!

Looking good so far. What's your current ETA?
Shayder
Nice work so far, but I have a comment on the hand. Compared to the arm especially around the bi-cep area, the hand looks freakishly large and a little ballonish near the base of the hand. I am not exactly sure what the reference sculpture looks like so you may be totally accurate.

To nemic<< thx man, but what the hell is a ETA?, lol. Estimated Time .....? am I right? To Shayder<< you're right!! I only noticed it when I was modeling the strap thingy that runs down his back today, so it's fixed now, but good catch tho. thx guys!!

Really nice. Did you create a base model in Maya and create displacement maps in zbrush by chance? Top work.

His left hand looks out of proportion.

Really nice modeling !! Is it for The Da Vinci Code? (joke) OK. I also agree with the hand proportion issue. I'm still learning the ABC's of modelling in Maya, but acording to your work, there's no need for other modelling packages. Congratulations you are very skilled.
