Description

Kodak Dig & GIMP (scaling & sig) So, story time.. Sorry if I bore you! Ok.. So I'm tired... and when I'm tired, I'm not grumpy, I'm goofy.. I'm tired because I work for a family and they had a wedding yesterday and I worked a spilt shift that went long. I worked today as well so I'm even more tired and I was a goof all day at work. So I went home and decided that I would just do something that I like to do for fun for a bit then go to bed for early because I work early in the morning tomorrow. So I go out, I park my car, get my spare key attach it to my camera bag and I'm off. I'm in the middle of taking pictures and I'm on this dock. I leaned over a little because I was bugging the geese to get them to come closer and my sunglasses fall from hanging from my shirt into the water.. I'm like.. ahh whatever.. They are over 100 dollars but whatever... I'm to tired to fuss and I just don't want to get grumpy. This couple walk up and say, something fell what was it.. I'm like 'oh, just my sunglasses. I'm just going to leave them, they were 100 bucks but I don't care right now.' Before I know it the guy is off the dock getting a stick.. and there are people all over the place trying to find out what is so interesting over the dock. Me, I'm embarrassed. Glasses recovered and thank them profusely and keep going with my glasses in my sweater... I get to my car to head home and I start to pull the spare key and what do I find? My HOUSE KEY! not the car key... and both car keys, original and spare are locked in my trunk!! Ahh I am close to my sisters in-laws house so I look in their window to see if they are up and go beg for a coat hanger totally embarrassed again.. I can't even look at them without blushing. They end up coming out to accompany me to get the door open and I struggle even though I've gotten it open a couple times before. Another couple come and help and through all of us talking it out we get it open. Me, embarrassed all over again and it's almost 11pm and I'm not even home and I kept these people up! I get home, download my images and decide that I don't like but a couple of the 219 photos I took... I think that I am at a point with my camera that I need to get a better one (which needs to be done anyway) or really start to get a real good understanding of my camera and it's settings. I am expecting more from myself and the camera and I'm not getting the results that I want. So now that I have almost 3000 words I'm going to stop and sleep! Thanks for checking out my picture.. Comments and jazz welcome! Nicole INFORMATION about the Mountain! Mount Baker has shown steamy signs of life as recently as 1975. The volcanic mountain stands at 10,778 feet, making it the fourth highest summit in the state of Washington USA and the dominant feature in the southern portion of this Wilderness. picture TAKEN in: Canada!

Always nice to read other people's misery... You took 219 photos? I'm still always thinking I have to get it right the first time, like in the 'old' days... I should take more too. Beautiful capture, and that horizon line isn't exactly the horizon, is it? For all I know, it's a declining field, so it could be 'naturally' off...
