Description

Last night we had to lay away one of our family member's. We have had Dogette along with her brother Tyler since they were born. We had to lay away their mother a couple years ago, due to cancer. Dogette came out of the other room not being able to breath last night, to the point her tongue was blue. The vet had us lay her away, said it was the most humaine thing to do. I can't remember the technical term they used for what she had, but there was no guarantee it wouldn't happen again. She was so scared and in so much pain, I couldn't let that happen. Needless to say, we are all lost, especially her brother,they have never been separated. We didn't get much sleep last night, but GBCalls and myself wanted to share. DDFox

Sad to part from our pets ,my little guy has little time left himself and it's very hard to calmly answer that awful question I get. Why don't you put him down ??? Reply I give is - Why ? because he's old. His age is unknown but history was very bad.Deformed frount paws from a known 7yrs at a puppymill---GRRRR--Standing on wiremesh thats large often deforms small feet ,,,,He had a low puppy count so was chosen to be downed but a lady took him instead. Years of isolation and neglect warped his personalty to bad. Hide,,his only action.Screams very load at anything that touches him. He was passed around a lot of homes ...Untill ours. We think he was around 9yrs then. It's been 6yrs now and he's lost most of those fears and I cut his food into tiny bites for him because most teeth are gone and tough stays out on the side. We don't walk to the post office anymore ,cateracts have nearly blinded him . All we wanted was to make his last days very good ones. Peanut is his name.
