Description

I didnt know if i should post this or not..These last few weeks have been some of the hardest times in our life with our son in the hospital and one of our favorite people in the world has now started getting Hospice care...we have been spending way to much time in hospitals and emergency rooms... Our son is still waiting for his opperation, they keep him extremely well drugged,,but he still has to much swelling to operate..so we wait... My father in law whos name is Cai,has been like a second father to me,and is now under hospice care and is not going to be with us for much longer...He is one of the smartest people i have ever known, speaking 7+ languages and has degrees in dozens of subjects,,he helped design the computer you are sitting at right now ,,he also has one of the most interesting sense of humors i know of..and his wife Alice, who has been his soul mate, friend, lover and companion for 50+ years..now have to wait out his departure... The image depicts the conflicts involved in making final plans and being responsible for these actions.. i feel for Alice who i stand by in her days of sorrow and support her fully..this has to be the hardest time for them both... i really have to tell you how these two are loved by everyone who knows them, and have brought a spark to so many peoples lives..and i always thought you werent suppose to like your inlaws but,i truelly love mine..and will miss Cai more than you could imagine.. but now is time to make him as comfortable as possible and love him more than ever.. To a man who loves his family and has raised the Finest children and keeps the best of friends and has the lovingest wife...My friend Cai...

Very beautiful image and dedication. I can FEEL the emotion from your writing and I pray all goes well with your son. As for your fried Cai and his wife - an old saying - "May the angels hold you in this time of need." This goes for you, your son, Cai, and his wife. PAX. :)

What a gorgeous image Bill. It really does show confilict & turbulance. I'm sorry things are so rough for you right now... It's never easy when people we love are sick, injured or dying. And you said it right... all you can do now for your father in law is love him and let him know he is loved. hugs

A man can be measured by those he has loved and those who love him. Your dear Cai has obvously touched and enhanced many lives and will be remembered for the joy he brought. I would have given everything for twenty more years with LJ, and yet my heart cries for his wife because one is never ready to say goodbye to their beloved. A beautiful tribute to this man with a very big spirit. CC

God Bless you and your family. It's good you post here, your little space to say it all, get some hurt out, vent some anger. And, us unseen folks, friends of sorts, are here to support you in this really rough patch of life.

This is a very worthy image that credits your thoughts for Cai. I also feel such despair for you right now and I pray to God that Cai stays out of pain at the Hospice. Please let me assure you, there is no finer place than the Hospice for pain control and the sensitive treatment he is bound to receive from all the dedicated staff there will ease a lot of the anxiety for you. God bless you and your family and special thoughts to Cai. I also hope the swelling goes down for your Son, so they can operate to reset his damaged bones. sincerely, Steve.

Sometimes it seems as tho life throws more at us than we can deal with,or at least want to deal with. I will start by telling you when my youngest daughter was fifteen she was in a very serious car accident. they called me from the hospital to tell me. I was beside myself with upset and worry. She had braced for the crash with her foot. Her foot was driven into her leg. she vertually had no ankle left. They didn't really tell me this until later. they held off on her surgery for several days. when her dr. came up from the OR he said to me i have no good news for you. Roberta may never walk again. my first thought was how do i tell my child this? to make a long story short she went on to prove that dr. wrong, and he was the happiest person for it. she still has a long road to hoe, our enemy arther has set into her ankle already. she's just 30. when my dad died we celebrated his life, strangly enough no crying. one of the reasons being his pain and suffering were over.so hang in there my friend, you have many of us out here thinking of your and your family in these hard times. If you still have any misgivings about posting this image, I hope they're quickly disappearing. If my opinion means anything, yes, absolutely, you did the right thing in posting it. It's not only tremendous from the art point of view, but filled with so much raw emotion, which is another, real and true, form of art. My heart goes out to you at such an incredibly difficult time, and it's times like this that I always wish I could offer some infinite words of wisdom. What I can tell you is that after experiencing the death of an exceptionally close loved one, I of course felt an endless amount of sorrow, and yet, I realized too that while the vessel our spirit arrives in will pass, we are still left with the gift of what these people have left us; their legacy. From what you've said about dear Cai, I can see that not only has he enriched so many other people's lives, but his own is very enriched because of those who love him so deeply. He has given so much by way of his love, humour, teachings...an endless list of things. These will never die; they will live forever, passed from generation to generation. I pray he's kept as comfortable as possible and I'm grateful he has so many who love him by his side. He is indeed a very rich man. With your son, whom I also pray for, he has unconditional love, encouragement and endless support, the most necessary ingredients needed for getting well. And he will get well. As I read your words over for the second time, I'm so deeply touched by a family such as yours who live with such an abundance of love and support. What you give to each other helps keep you strong, and it helps keep the memory of loving spirits alive. During your time of sorrow and worry, may these incredible gifts aide in giving you comfort. Blessings to your whole family. (((HUGS)))
