As someone who raises pigeons and loves the little flying rats dearly, I totally love this shot. So few good pictures of pigeons are out there unless you see one of a mass of birds swarming a statue or poor person with bread in their hands LOL! This is lovely. Its too bad the background isn't darker though so the beauty of the bird is not so lost in it. BTW, I also raised doves for awhile and the white dove is a different bird, although some people try to pass off white pigeons as white doves because pigeons are a healthier and sturdier bird for releasing at weddings, etc. And doves have a tendancy to keep going once released where pigeons will return to their home coop for release another day.

For me it's a Peace Dove. Excellent and most beautiful capture. Normally I'm not a friend of doves (we call them "flying city rats" and here, where I live it's forbidden to feed them ), except the white ones. "Give peace a chance"!!! Have a wonderful evening, my friend!!! :)

I'm amazed at how much detail you captured in the stark white wing. On the full size view I can see individual feathers. Very serene photo my friend, that new zoom lens allows you to get this type of close up without scaring the little beasts.
