Wow everything in this is awesome, from that broken, frosted glass to the crack in the wall, it's all so real. This rocks.

Rollmops, Id said it before, and I say it again, your social realism is awesome! Just the right props, excellent use of texture and lighting! A simple but beautiful scene. Congrats. There is no more voting, because the Poser gnomes has cheated. But I have to give you a vote anyway. :)) Strata

Yeah I agree with the others. This is a wonderful piece of work. You've certainly fulfilled the atmospheric/mood criteria. I love that sunlight hitting the chair - so beautiful in the midst of that desolate room. Like Strata said, if we still had votes I'd be giving you one
Incarnadine
Wonderful sense of time and place in this. Well done!

There must be quite a story behind this one! A fantastic moody scene!

This comes as close to being a masterpiece as just about anything that I've seen here at Renderosity. It's almost crazy to mention but if I could change anything about it (which I can't, it's your render, of course) I'd say that the glass in the doors seems to catch just a bit to much light for my liking. Brilliant none the less.

Great! A real "rollmops" one!
ArtByMel

Ok,here are some technical details: the c4d file has a size of 3802 kb, 63157 polygons, 135 objects. Massive use of ambient occlusion, global illumination, multilayered textures, sub polygon displacement. The scene is illuminated by two lichtsources (spots).Caustics were faked by using texturered spots.I tried to use raytrayced caustics in the beginng of this project, but i stopped with that as i pushed the parameters up to 20000000 photons for surface caustics, the result was still looking strange and the calculation for the caustics took over 2 hours, before the rest had started ;)The native resolution of this render was 1536 by 1275 pixels at 72 dpi. There will be a 6000 pixel render for printing. The rendertime was about 5 hours and 30 minutes on a dual 248 opteron, 2048 mb ram. The texture size of my maps was between 900 pixels wide to 2500 pixels.Ok,thats enough for the moment ;)

All horror fans should check out the film "Session 9". This image made me think of that one right away. Great work.
vbarreto
It looks like Dr Kildare abandoned house. Terrific mood!
Silgrin
OK, this time I won
t add it to my favorites, because of the dramatic theme. Looks just depressing if you think about the story behind that. But the technique... I just started learning Radiosity:P This one is much more stylish than your previous ultra-realistic "photos". Can
t decide which style I like more:) Keep going! :) Tschus! PS. rollmops = V + 5 as for me:)UweG
Absolut genial, das sieht so derman real aus...Hammerhartes Bild!!!
