Description

V5I/P6/PS 7/HEX 2 Modeled the Dome of the Rock and the city walls in HEX 2. This image has long been in my mind and I have spent months off and on trying to get the right lighting. I finally reached the point where nothing was satisfying so I ultimately setteled on this. Aliyah = Many Jews espouse aliyah as a return to the Promised land, and regard it as the fulfillment of God's biblical promise to the descendants of the Hebrew patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Excellent use of Vue. I think that this goes a little beyond Vue, even.

sure does evoke a mood! love the atmosphere and camera work, and portrait mode is well handled which isn't always so easy for me.

Great DOF using both haze and fog. Wonderful stuff Gary! I like the portrait format. Nice foreground, midground and background with tilted horizon line which adds perhaps a bit of extra-- 'lying on the ground' POV. Best of all, you have used ("Oh it's 3D") Poser figures in such a way as they look real-- and human. Very realistic.

Really nice sense of depth, I really like the tilted camera combined with the vertical aspect ratio. Really nice sand textures as well!

Very well composed and what great results on that sand... beautiful. My only small critique would be perhaps the oddly positionned potery, seems to me it attracts to much attention. Beautifully tweaked, the hard work shows.

The master of Vue strikes again. An image that tells a poignant story. Very well conceived.

OOH, I see you finally made it to making this image, GREAT! only thing is I don't understand what you were trying to write in the bottom - seems like a mixture of English and relevant Hebrew letters. The image itself is fabulous, the lighting is just perfect and I love the models you used. Bravo!!!
