Wow, at first glance, I would've said it was an old Chevy or Ford PU, very nice capture.

Quite frankly I did not know Hudson made a truck. So I learned some thing new today. Except for the paint and wheels is this what a stock Hudson PU looked like or does this have some custom work done on it???

This one is a 1947 (at least by the grille), and has been modified, at least a bit. The front end usually has a chrome bumper, those turn signals would be covered by it. All of the grille, the surrounds for headlights, hood ornament & side pieces, etc., should all be chrome - not 'biggies', for the most part the body looks to be pretty stock. I have two 1946 Hudson pickups (one driver, and one being rebuilt), as well as a 1939 Hudson Pickup (rust bucket)... Hudson made around 6000 of these in 1946/1947 (around 3000 for each year), and at least 800 or so survive to this day. They only made about 600 commercial vehicles in 1939, of which pickups were a part - only a handful (less than 20) are known to exist, in any condition. My little website (needs a bit of updating) http://mysite.verizon.net/vzeryru7/index.html
