Photography has pretty much changed my life, in that, I look at every little thing differently now. I get so much pleasure being outdoors and finding new things to photograph. It gives me a tickle inside! I love the birds and flowers and all of nature so much. Sharing these treasures with all of you is very much a pleasure too. I hope you enjoy my photos as much as I enjoy taking them! This has been one of the most fun things I ever done... joining this community, it's given me more courage and confidence to explore what I really love to do... A BIG HUGE THANKS to all my friends here!!!!!!

This looks so surreal. Why am I the first to comment. I absloutely love this scene Akemi. No critique...just outright praise for it.

I am amazed how the wall stands up as if carved. Beautiful ... Aloha

Wow thats so cool, the wall looks so cool standing up on its own. Awesome photo for sure.

If you walked across that wall it would all crumble... All this changes every day with the wind. Another must see for those travelers!!

Great composition. The dunes in Florence are spectacular - when you're in a lower part of a dune & you can't see the ocean, you can imagine yourself in the sahara desert. The first time I visited there - over 20 years ago - there was a guy with a camel offering rides - his name was Lawrence of Florence...

absolutely wonderful. a great tribute to the place

Beautiful capture, Akemi. I used to love the dunes at Florence when I lived in Eugene. Haven't seen them since I moved to Portland 20 years ago. Thanks for sharing.

Having had the desert play an important part in my life, I may sometimes be too lenient when commenting and I specifically did not read other comments before me for that reason: This is a good composition and the narrow skyline emphasises the dunes! Excellent! Is there a "bad" desert capture, LOL?

Lovely contrasts - the flowing sands and the starkness of the linear fence. Color coordinated too! A terrific eye to catch and compose this shot so perfectly.

This is a very nice and moody photo. If I lived there I'd just stand on the beach and stare at the scenery all day long.

A sense of solitude here, and a simple and effective color palette. Wonderful photo!!
