Description
This is my first attempt at Terragen, and any constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated.

You did a good job with the water movement, Terragen is the best I think for landscapes, the lighting cant be beat, I hope there new version will be good for other stuff as well like importing object files, maybe trees also.

Beautiful lighting, waterway and landscape. Very impressive, even excellent, especially for your first render. The pointed parts of the terrain can usually be at least mostly avoided by setting the 'metres point spacing' to 30 (landscape size panel/page). Also, large terrains help acheive a more detailed and realistic look. Your surface is very good, I think. Lots of layers in varying tones of each color (greens/browns/greys, etc) and playing with slope and altitude restaints, bumpiness and scale, helps to refine. Atmosphere is a little blue; perhaps it's what you intended, but it looks like you played with the default settings- still very nice. Just experiment until the proverbial cows come home. If this is your first, can't wait to see future work. Have fun!
