Description

A digital photo I shot last weekend at a car show...some of the background clutter was cut out using Paint Shop Pro ver 9 and replaced with a Vue rendered sky...

Dumped with cut coils. Nosed. A coupe. Now this is some ride! And it's 66 years old! Now that is way beyond my experience with a 40 Chevy. To me they were four door, painted with a brush, and traded for a 49 Plymouth that had more chrome and was bigger. The value, after the war, $850 was more than they were purchased for new. My eyes see a very cool 40 in a garage on Alondra in Paramount, California in 1966. It belongs to an ex-Navy electrician's mate now a GE rep selling batteries to Douglas Aircraft. He lives upstairs which he fell down one night after an Irish drinking session and running over a curb in his Corvair. His wife, is cradling his head in her arms and I can hear the strains of "Jamie We Hardly Knew Ya!". This will be a support case in 1978. With names changed. She is after all pregnant. I never touched the guy. Honest!
