I didnt like the original so I copied the picture and offset it in photoshop.
Not a particularly good one...

forgot to say how this image was created. In lightwave, rail clone to form long tentecles, simple positioning in layout, then just upped the additive transparancy and glow. Then added my trademark volumetric lights.

Really beautiful. I like the psychedelic look. Almost like a painting. :-)
